Read-only access from TFS

I work for an employer that is averse to its staff downloading binaries.  Unfortunately that seems to mean we can't download CodePlex projects or source control clients such as Subversion.

We do use TFS, so theoretically it should be possible to connect to the CodePlex TFS server from Visual Studio and download source that way, right?

It would be nice if CodePlex allowed TFS access to people who are not project members - even if it's only to download changesets.

We do not allow anonymous access to TFS with Team Explorer.  Are you able to go the source code tab of a project (i.e. and download the zipped source code there?  That is an option, along with anonymous Subversion and CPC access.

No, the download must have some executables in it somewhere, so it's blocked.

No chance of a "guest" account in TFS?

Currently we do not offer a guest account, however I encourage you to vote on this item in our issue tracker.  Votes for a feature have a big impact on what we decide to work on next.
