What creds to use with "git push"? MSA doesn't work?

I successfully forked a project (NuGet: my clone is https://nuget.codeplex.com/SourceControl/network/forks/jazzdelightsme/NuGet). I then cloned my fork locally and did some work. Now I want to push my changes up to codeplex.

When I run "git push --all origin", I am prompted for a username and password. What username and password should I use? I use a Microsoft Account (MSA) to sign in to the codeplex website, but that credential does not work. I'm confused!

Thank you!

Hey there,

When connecting to source control, you must use your CodePlex username and password, which is different than your MSA. You can see your CodePlex username in the upper-right hand corner of any webpage, and you can reset your password at https://www.codeplex.com/site/forgotPassword if you've forgotten it.
