Support wiki formatting in work items

description

It would be useful to have a subset of the wiki features available in the issue tracker.

The features that come to mind are:
  1. simple formatting
  2. whitespace preservation
  3. linking to other work items or discussions, etc

Interesting idea. But I am not sure how well this integrates with VS2005 and the work item view. I certainly don't want to see the markup stuff in my VS WI windows. On the other hand, sometimes I thought "hey, I really want to highlight this and that" from within VS. So yes, simple formatting would be great.

If wiki markup in Visual Studio would be a problem for some projects, then a simple "Enable wiki markup in work items" option in the project details editor would do.

Whitespace perservation is the minimal thing to do, so code snippets preserve their indentation.
