When linking directly to individual source files within a git repository the source browser navigation pane does not track the location of those files. The result is that you can see the specific files being linked to but the navigation pane is not updated to show their location.

For example, if I want to link directly to a file in a git repo, I can use a link like this [1]. However, when following that link I can see the file but the navigation pane is not updated to show the location of that file within the repository.
