Allow private projects

description

As a codeplex user
I would like to be able to create private projects
So that I could host my company's internal projects on Codeplex or some OSS project that I'm still working on the basics and I am not able to make public yet or just some personal projects I'm not going to open source

I'm ok to pay for it.
This should work for hg, git or tfs.
I would like to have full support for all codeplex features, including pull requests, issues, etc.
I would need to add people to my private repositories, and then they should be able to see them. The ability to create organizations and teams would go well with private projects.

Atlasian offers Team City build server, jira, Confluence. Why not them?

Use Visual Studio Online, it has nearly everything you need:
  • private projects
  • host company's internal projects
  • OSS project that are not yet public but will be (if you use git version control in VSOnline you should be able to later to clone to a public code sharing site like GitHub, I haven't done it but it should work)
  • personal projects that stay closed
  • pay for it - eg if you need more than 5 basic user accounts in your project or more advanced features
  • use git or TF version control - not hg
  • support for pull requests, issues, etc.
  • add people to private projects
  • teams - has basic collaboration features, more coming I'm sure
I'm curious to know what the future holds for CodePlex because it is not keeping up with GitHub and VSOnline. I'm wondering about switching over myself.
