Naming your servers with 'cool' names

description

Found out that all your servers are like 'TFS01', etc. Your product teams have sweet code names for the future projects (until marketing gets ahold of them). You guys should to. You could even hold a contest for the theme to use.

My suggestion is
  • beers of the world
  • comic book bad guys

I like the one where Servers are named after elements. The Periodic Table has 117 Elements at the moment, each with it's individual number:

No. Really, who cares. How about adding functionality first... like a favorite projects list or something useful.

This is a complete waste of effort for the CodePlex team. So many other features and bugs need to be fixed first. For example, being able to rate down issues. Of course if we could, this issue would be a -5000 by now.
