About the CodePlex Site
CodePlex is Microsoft's open source project hosting web site. You can use CodePlex to create new projects to share with the world, join others who have already started their own projects, or use the applications on this site and provide feedback.
CodePlex includes the following features:

The CodePlex software is a custom web application written in C# and ASP.NET. It is integrated with Team Foundation Server (TFS), Mercurial and Git. SQL Server is used for the database.

Parts of CodePlex have been released as open source projects, such as the
. In the future there may be additional parts of CodePlex released as open source projects, if they make sense as independent software components.
There are currently no plans to release the CodePlex website itself as an open source project. The software has dependencies on commercially licensed software and services (e.g. Flot, TinyMCE, Omniture, etc) and is designed to run in Microsoft data centers.
