Tortoise SVN delete and comment

Jan 25, 2010 at 9:21 AM

Hello,

I have successfully uploaded source using Tortoise SVN. But, I have a few questions.

  1. How do I remove old change set? I would like to remove change set 39165 from my repository. You can see it here:
    http://manicweather.codeplex.com/SourceControl/list/changesets
  2. How do I add comment on change set?

Thank you.

Hi Manic,

1. We cannot remove old changesets, its a current limitation of TFS (we host a SVN Bridge to TFS for you).
2. Once a changeset is committed, I don't believe there is any way to add a comment.

Thanks,
Matt

Ok, but how to set comment before commit?

When you bring up the commit dialog in TortoiseSVN, there's a big empty text area at the top. Type your comments in there, and that will be what is associated with that changeset.

Thanks,
Matt
