Trouble connecting to TFS

Feb 28, 2007 at 3:16 AM
I'm new to the Codeplex community and I've created a new project <plug>http://www.codeplex.com/Wiki/View.aspx?ProjectName=pocketreminder</plug>. However, I cannot seem to get Visual Studio Team Suite to connect to TFS in Codeplex using the information/credentials provided.

The error is something like:

TF31002:Unable to connect to this Team Foundation Server: tfs03.codeplex.com. Team Foundation Server Url: https://tfs03.codeplex.com:443. Yada yada yada...

Has anyone had these troubles?

Thanks!

Jason- are you using the credentials provided on the Source Code tab of your project? You need to use the entire username (including the domain and "_cp" suffix).

What version of Team Explorer are you using?

Yes, I'm using the entire username, including the _cp suffix.

I have a 180-day eval of Team Foundation Server that I used to install the Team Explorer, but I'm not sure which version/build it is. It's not Beta or RC though - it's RTM.

Sometimes people have trouble connecting due to firewall or proxy issues.

My firewall on Windows XP is not enabled. Do I have to open a port on my firewall to the internet? I wouldn't think so...
