Patch upload failure when using DIFF or PATCH file created by Subversion

Jun 19, 2009 at 5:31 PM

I am getting "Error uploading patch file. Please make sure file is valid and length does not exceed 100 MB."

The patch file is 42k.

Is there something I need to do differently in Subversion, or is a CodePlex issue?

Does the error happen consistently (i.e. did you try uploading multiple times)?

Yup.  It happens consistently.  I've also tried varying the contents of the patch file.

Here is a small one -- 909 bytes.  When I submit it at http://gonative.codeplex.com/SourceControl/UploadPatch.aspx I get "Error uploading patch file. Please make sure file is valid and length does not exceed 100 MB."  The file is smaller than 100MB, so I'm guessing it doesn't like the format.  This appears to be the only patch format generates by TortoiseSVN.

Thanks,

Jason

Are you using Chrome?  We've discovered a bug when using Chrome that will cause this.  We're looking to get the bug fixed soon, but could be what's causing your problem.

That was it, thanks!

I'll switch browsers for patch submissions (in the meantime).
