TF30017 when adding TFS server to VS2k8

Mar 22, 2009 at 4:59 PM
When I try to add https://tfs10.codeplex.com:443 as a TFS server in my VS2k8 Team Explorer, I get the following error message:

"TF30017: Team Explorer cannot connect to Team Foundation Server tfs10.codeplex.com.
The security certificate is either not installed, not properly configured, or expired."

Any ideas? When I browse that address, I get a Virtual Directory listings not allowed message, but the certificate looks to be valid.

Thanks for your help.

Not sure what was up, but I just retried adding the server in the exact same way, and it worked this time.

I double checked the SSL certificate for TFS10 and it checks out ok.  My only guess is you mis-typed the URL the first time?

Thanks for the suggestion. Out of curiosity, I tried intentionally mistyping the URL and got a different message (TF31002), so I don't think it was simply a typo.

I'm not sure what it was, but it was replicable for a couple of hours.

What are the scheduled maintenance windows for the CodePlex team servers?

Approximately once a month there is a 5-10 minute scheduled maintenance.

I'm getting the same error for the last several days on TFS05.  Any ideas?  I need to publish my project by Wednesday, but can't do so w/o uploading source code.

Thanks.
