Anchor

Is there any mechanism to create an anchor (like an HTML anchor) on a wiki page?

Yeah, the Wiki syntax to do this is open bracket, the text "url:", the actual url (e.g. http://www.codeplex.com), then a close bracket.

I don't think that exactly answers my need. Perhaps it does and I don't realize it. That allows me to create a link to an anchor but how can I create an anchor within the wiki page itself.

If my wiki page has multiple sections. For example:

  • Introduction
    • What is this site about
    • How to Use this Site
    • Why in the world is the project needed
  • Who is the team
    • How to join the team
    • How much do I need to participate

I would want to place an anchor where each of these sections start and have the link in the Table of Contents then go to that link as you mentioned How Much Do I need to Participate

I can creat all of the above easily enough but don't know of a way to create the actual anchor somewhere on the wiki page. A good explaination of how it is done on some other wikis is as follows (from wikipedia and the markup it uses):

Oh, I got it now. Our Wiki syntax doesn't currently support that. You should log it in the issue tracker so we have it on the list of things to add to the site.
